That's what how it goes.

Dear Diary,
A couple months ago we were told that Seth was being transferred to Boise (yay!) and that we would be moving in about 3 months. Also, don't tell anyone, not even family (boo.). The very next day, we got another phone call. Move in one month. Don't tell anyone (yikes).
Diary. You know I am a planner and that I like to think waaaaaay ahead. Although excited for Boise, I was a little freaked out about finding a place to live in B-town and packing up and leaving the Yak without a peep...and therefore help. Somehow we managed with basically only telling our parents at the last second. And maybe a couple of other people.
We were under the impression that we had gotten an apartment with no lease and very low rent close to the lab. This was working out perfectly since we wanted to start looking at houses to buy. What gave us this impression is the landlord telling us "you can have the apartment". What confused us was when we called the landlord and they said they gave it to someone else. Enter freak out mode.
Luckily we have amazing friends and parents of amazing friends that let us take over their house until we could find somewhere to live. Somehow we found a house in 2 weeks (felt like a million weeks). Although there has been some drama, we should be closing on July 23rd. Me and the kids are staying in Pendleton until then, because we feel more comfortable destroying Grammy and Papa's house instead of our gracious friend's abode. We are excited about our little fixer-upper first home and I will keep you updated with plenty of before and after pictures.
Love,
Carly
