sugar & SPICE

From the first moment I laid eyes on my little girl, I knew she looked exactly like her Da-Da. I mean, there wasn't anything I could point to and say, there I am! This is one of the few times I am not exaggerating. There was nothing. Now if Seth weren't so good-looking I might be a wee bit more severely depressed, ahem, I mean sad about it but she is so flippin' cute I don't dwell on it too much. As time went on it seemed that he also won the personality lottery...awesome! I mean, how great for them right? RIGHT?!?!!!!!!!!!

Well today I saw a glimmer of hope. B had an appointment to get some immunizations. I highly dislike taking my baby to get shots but...safety first. They did her 15 month check up (Height: 31.25 inches, Weight: 22 pounds) and then a nurse comes in with the meds. Last time it didn't go too bad. I held her down and she only cried right when they stuck her in the leg and then I was able to quickly calm her down. It was sad but over quickly. Not today. She was not going to take this lying down. Well, she WAS lying down, but she wasn't HAPPY about it. Next thing I knew she's writhing like a maniac and sits up, turns and SCREAMS AT THE NURSE. At her. Very pointedly. You should have seen the vengeance in her eyes. I had had my head down next to hers during the shots but Seth informed me she also deliberately tried to KICK the nurse. As in aiming to injure.

Do you know how proud this made me? It means she's a spitfire like her mom! Take that Seth! With your cool, calm demeanor, never losing your head. She's got some crazy in her, and it's allll from me!

Can't touch this.
