Summer

Ok I waited too long and now I'm struggling to remember all the things we did this summer. Worst memory ever?

We had our annual Edwards family reunion. Not everyone can make it every year but I look forward to it and seeing all who can come. I don't have any pictures from that. We go up to Meadow Wood and stay in cabins and hang out at the lodge and just enjoy being together. There is also a pool and it was fun to take the babies swimming.

This year was a little sad because my beautiful great Aunt Linda recently passed away after a long battle with cancer, as did her brother, Uncle Bill, even more recently. I'm grateful for the fond memories I have of them both.

My cousin Lindsay and her husband Tom came for the reunion and stayed for a few days afterwards in Pendleton so we had a fun time playing games one night out at the Leonards and then had a play date with B and Miranda. (For those of you who don't know, Miranda is Lindsay's sister, and they're just a scant 22 years apart. Miranda is a few months older than Brooklyn so we like to get together and play when we can :)

We got them some treats at Dairy Queen and headed to a park. They mostly wanted to ride their bikes together. So cute!

I tried to get them to pose or stand in certain places to get some cute pics of them together but they just wanted to be silly.

Love those girls.

Next we took a little family vacay to BOISE! To visit our besties the Johnstons and Camberlangos. We were all super close when we lived in Rexburg (The Camberlangos were our neighbors) and have kept in close contact since. There are now 7 babies between the 3 of us and 3 new babies within a couple few months of each other that hadn't met yet so to Idaho it was. The visit wasn't as nearly as long as I had hoped or wanted but we still had a great time and I'm so glad they let us come hang out! Didn't really get any pictures of this either, I've really resolved to do better about that. The boys had fun fishing (and took pictures)

And the girls got to have a night out without the kiddos. Props to the boys for surviving that! I was really nervous about it but they did great. We started out at Cafe Rio, then went and shopped (for our kids haha) and ended with some yummy frozen yogurt. On Saturday, our last night there, we had a BBQ and played HORSE (I could not have done worse, sorry Seth!) and badminton. We ended the night with s'mores and I did get a picture of that.

Ya Ya somehow commandeered a whole bag of chips and ate to her heart's content
